Let us hope that MNS activists that tried to molest and kill the Registrar at MIT get punished to the fullest extent possible. Every engineering college in Maharashtra follow the same laws; the other colleges in Maharashtra are substandard and never get filled up with all of the management quota seats.
Pune and Mumbai seats are always at a premium because they are good places to learn and grow. The MNS activities are now reaching ridiculous and fascist levels and it is time they are bought back to law and order.

these instituts should broght under the law and order situation, either they are not charitable instituts or professional, they are errornings the huge moneys on the name of charity
MIT never advertised itself as a charity. Plus vandalizing does not fall under the umbrella of "law or order".
Just go to MIT and you will see for yourself that the number of out of Maharashtra students is very high. It is an open secret in Pune that these students pay high donations to MIT inorder to get a seat. The amount of donations is so ridiculously high that locals can rarely afford it. Beacuse the government is inefficient, MNS had in the past issued notices to colleges to improve. The saddest part is that violence seems to be the only method to make these politician ruled institutes fall to in order.
